Lately, I don't know exactly why (maybe posttraumatic stress disorder after IDEA's first year), I'm trying to discover new bands, singers and songwriters. This is the reason why I've writting about Tulsa, Mujeres, Maria Rodés... and so on. However, I also have rediscovered some already known stuff like Joan Miquel Oliver, a majorcan genius who writes amazing songs for Antònia Font and also for himself. Until a month ago I basically knew nothing about his musical solo work, but know I can't stop lisening him.
I think that his latest album is "Bombón Mallorquín", but don't miss his "Live in Paris" (recorded in some theatre in Sants, by the way) and the songs "Hansel i Gretel" and "Sa núvia morta".
